What is an eSIM?▾
A digital SIM built into your phone. Instead of swapping a physical card, you scan a QR code and your device installs a new data profile — perfect for travel because you can keep your home line and add a local data plan side-by-side.
How quickly do I get the QR code?▾
Instantly. Your QR arrives by email within seconds of purchase and is also available in My Orders.
Will I lose my existing number?▾
No. The eSIM runs alongside your primary line. You keep your number for calls and SMS, and use the Roamee profile for data while abroad.
Compatibility
Is my phone compatible?▾
Most phones from the last few years support eSIM, including iPhone XS and later, recent Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy models. Dial *#06# — if you see an EID number, you're good.
Will my phone be unlocked enough to use Roamee?▾
Your phone needs to be carrier-unlocked to use a non-home-carrier eSIM. Most phones bought outright or on a finished contract are unlocked.
Installing your eSIM
How do I install on iPhone?▾
Settings → Mobile Data → Add eSIM → Use QR Code → Scan the code we emailed you. Choose the Roamee line for Cellular Data while abroad.
How do I install on Android?▾
Settings → Connections → SIM Manager → Add eSIM → Scan QR Code. The exact path varies slightly by manufacturer — search "Add eSIM" if you can't find it.
When should I install — before or after I land?▾
Install at home before you travel. Your plan only starts counting when you connect to a network at your destination, so you have signal the moment you land.
